Low shelf with chrome-plated steel pole

This unusual low shelf has two wooden shelves that have a particularly beautiful grain. This grain can also be seen very nicely on the side wall. The veneered wood is dark brown. The shelf is in good condition and stable. The chrome pole has been polished and shows slight soiling but no rust. The wood surface has been polished and shows some age-related signs of wear. Due to its size, the shelf fits perfectly on the side of a sofa, e.g. as a bookshelf. It is made by hand, which is indicated by special methods of attachment. It is possibly a one-off piece. A wonderful time testimony from the 20s/30s.
