Console table with chrome frame and dark brown wood shelves
This wonderful side table was designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928. It consists of two wooden shelves, which are connected by a tubular steel frame. Breuers design concept was to design furniture that fit into modern architecture and are equally functional. This side table is a perfect example of this approach. The table is in very good condition and wears a age-related patina. The chrome frame has been polished and shows only slight material irritations in one place. The wood surface in walnut veneer has been refurbished and has no blemish. The lower shelf is adjustable in height.
